5. Waivers of Liability
5.1. Waiver of Damages When Working with Water
Appliances connected to plumbing systems carry inherent risks of leaks or flooding due to component failure or imperfect connections, potentially causing substantial damage. Except in cases of proven gross negligence by our technician, you agree to release Appliance Technician from any liability arising from such incidents. By permitting our technician to begin work, you expressly waive any claims against us related to these risks.
5.2. Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling
Refrigeration equipment consists of complex components that may fail unexpectedly. Servicing or repairing these components involves inherent risks, and even meticulous repairs can result in equipment malfunction. Such failures may lead to food spoilage, discomfort, inconvenience, and potential revenue loss, especially in commercial settings. By requesting our services, you acknowledge these risks and agree to hold Appliance Technician harmless from any related consequences. By allowing our technician to commence work, you expressly waive any claims against us concerning these risks.
5.3. Waiver of Damages from Lifting Glass Cooktops
Lifting a glass or ceramic cooktop surface to access underlying components involves the risk of breakage due to strong adhesive bonds, which may cause surface fracturing. While our technicians exercise utmost care, Appliance Technician does not assume responsibility for these risks. You agree to assume these risks and hold us harmless from any related liability. By permitting our technician to begin work, you expressly waive any claims against us in this regard.
